faire de pipi
Christmas shopping while sick is completely impossible. I'm not good with crowds anyway, and it's even worse when I am stuffy and achy and try to talk to my sister on the phone while a jug of milk is dangling from my pinky while tea, cap'n crunch, and presents all slip and slide off my other arm.
So sorry to my sis, and to everyone else, for boring presents, but after standing in Best Buy with teary eyes of frustration/exhaustion/confusion for half an hour in front of the movie racks, I gave up, grabbed stuff, and ran.
I also stood in line for a good 10 minutes at Michael's to purchase my 30 cent string for my cross stitch. Then the lady tried to give me a bag. *shakes head*
Today is exciting because I am going to go watch my boys play in their band. Actually, that's not too exciting, BUT one of my best good friends is coming with me. I heard her voice for the first time in four months two nights ago and it was awesome. She sang the techno song from Madagascar to me :-) No matter what is going on in my life, if I can get in touch with Kris, it's okay. As she says, "Whatever happens, I'll have tissues and chocolate." :-D
Mom got frustrated with my mess in the house pretty quickly. I called her at work today and all she had to say to me was to wrap my Christmas presents already and get them off the dining room table. We weren't using the table anyway, jeez. Oh well, I DID wrap some of them. Then I got bored and watched cartoons, letting Solstice play on the couch. She is the CUTEST rat ever.
No anti-rat sentiment should be posted on my journal. I feel that that is bigoted and mean-spirited. Solstice plays and acts silly and shows affection just like a certain person's cats... only when Solstice tries to pee on my fresh laundry, it's only a dot instead of a bunch of stinky cat pee, ewww. Which reminds me of a play I saw this semester, where a lady makes this man smell her muff because a cat has peed on it. "C'est le pipi de chat." "Je n'aime pas cette odeur." Hehehe.
